Overview
Once you shred an RFP, Shred.ai extracts and organizes its key elements. This saves time and ensures no criteria are missed.
What You’ll See
"Proposal Management Plan"
Pursuit Files: Original RFP's plus any addenda that have been uploaded.
Overview: Key details of the RFP such as executive summary, client, contacts, submission deadline, and formatting and submission requirements.
Response: Build your proposal outline directly from the pursuit workspace.
Recommendations: Recommendations for key areas to focus on in your response.
Curated Assets: An option to add assets from your OpenAsset DAM system to this RFP, including projects, employees, files, and text assets.
Proposal Studio: Space where you can begin drafting your response.
The Overview Tab
The Overview tab centralizes key pursuit details so nothing slips through the cracks.
What’s Included:

Client and contact information
Submission deadlines

Compliance requirements
Project Delivery Method — Shred extracts the project delivery method from the RFP (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at Risk, JOC) and surfaces it as a structured field so your team can orient their approach from the start.
Offer Limit — Shred extracts the offer validity period verbatim from the RFP — the length of time a proposal must remain valid after submission. If the RFP contains multiple relevant extractions, they're presented as options rather than flagged as conflicts. If no offer limit is stated, the field is left blank.
Sustainability Rating — Shred extracts formal sustainability certification targets verbatim from the RFP (e.g., LEED Gold, WELL Silver, BREEAM Excellent). A project targeting multiple certifications will show each as a separate entry. General sustainability language like "high-performance building" or "energy-efficient" does not qualify and will not appear here.
The Response Tab

Curated Assets: Linking Projects, Employees, Files & Text from OpenAsset
Shred and OpenAsset are designed to work seamlessly together:
OpenAsset DAM manages your firm’s project data, employee profiles, images, and brand assets.
Shred.ai uses that content to fuel AI-powered search, proposal planning, and RFP shredding.
The integration is bi-directional:
From Shred.ai, you can add projects, employees, files, and text assets from OpenAsset into a pursuit.
From OpenAsset DAM, you can push content directly into Shred.ai to a pursuit in Shred.ai
Adding OpenAsset Content to a Pursuit (from Shred.ai)
Open the Curated Assets tab
You will see a tab on the left for Projects, Employees, Files, and Text
Click on Add Asset then select project, employee, file, or text.
From here you will be taken to your OpenAsset DAM system.
Log in, then select Start Selecting Assets
Select the assets to include, then head to the Selected tab.
Click Add to Pursuit.
Go back to Shred.ai, and you will now see your connected assets!
Follow the steps above to add additional assets.
Sending Content from OpenAsset into Shred (from OpenAsset DAM)
In OpenAsset, locate the project, file, employee, or text assets you want to send.
Select the assets you want to send to Shred.ai.
Go to your Selected tab, and click Add to Pursuit.
Follow the instructions to select which RFP to add the asset(s) to.
Asset(s) now appears in Shred.ai under the pursuit’s Curated Assets tab.
Note: To add various asset types (e.g., projects, employees, files, and text), you must add one category at a time. For instance, add your projects, click the "selected" tab, and then "link to pursuit." Repeat this process for files, text, and employees. In this example, you would repeat the process four times.
