When on a pursuit, the "Insights" tab on the Proposal Management Plan now recommends specific, real OpenAsset projects - not generic project types - for that pursuit, each with a plain-language reason it was picked.

Shred now automatically extracts formal sustainability certification targets from RFPs and surfaces them as a dedicated field in your Proposal Management Plan.

If an RFP specifies a required or intended certification — such as LEED Gold, WELL Silver, BREEAM Excellent, or Passive House Certified — it will appear verbatim in the

Sustainability Rating field. A project targeting multiple certifications will show each as a separate entry.

What qualifies: Formal, third-party certification targets explicitly stated by the owner or issuing authority (e.g., "The project shall achieve LEED Gold certification").

What doesn't qualify: General sustainability language like "high-performance building" or "energy-efficient" — these suggest intent but don't commit to a specific standard. Language like this will appear in your Executive Summary instead.

No manual entry needed — this field populates automatically when Shred processes your RFP.

You can now upload addenda directly to an existing Pursuit — and get an AI-powered summary of exactly what changed in seconds.

After shredding an RFP, click Upload Addendum in your Pursuit and drop in the file. Shred.ai compares it against your current Proposal Management Plan (PMP) and generates an Addendum AI Summary that includes:

From there, you can edit the summary to add your own context, then mark it as Reviewed — recording who reviewed it and when.

When a second (or third, or tenth) addendum arrives, Shred.ai compares it against both the PMP and the most recent addendum summary. The latest summary always reflects all cumulative changes, so there's no need to cross-reference multiple documents.

You can now drag content blocks from Proposal Studio directly into Adobe InDesign.

Hover over any content block's drag handle, click and hold, and drop it into an InDesign text frame - your text lands ready to go.

Dropped text automatically inherits the InDesign text styles applied to the destination frame (font, size, weight, spacing, etc.), so it matches your firm's branded templates without manual cleanup.

Shred speeds up drafting, but moving that content into InDesign for final layout has still been a manual copy-paste-reformat step. This closes that gap. If your team drafts in Proposal Studio and produces in InDesign, this should save real time on every proposal.

When writing a response to a criteria in Proposal Studio, you can now check your work with one click. The new Check Against Criteria button sends your response, the associated criteria, and a brief evaluation prompt directly to AI Chat — which then reviews your response for gaps, errors, or missed requirements. It's a fast way to gut-check your draft before moving on.

Supporting assets have moved! You can now access them at the top of any content block — right alongside suggested content. Assets open in a dedicated sidebar where you can browse and add new assets, or toggle to see which assets are already attached to that content block. This keeps your workspace cleaner and makes it faster to find and manage the materials you need.

Text editing options now appear in a floating toolbar directly over your highlighted text, rather than in the content block header. This puts formatting controls right where you're working, so you spend less time hunting for the right button.

All multi-line fields across Shred.ai — including Executive Summary, Response Criteria, and more — now support rich text formatting. You can add headers, bold, italic, lists, and other formatting directly within any multi-line field.

The formatting toolbar is consistent with the one used in Proposal Studio, so the editing experience feels familiar wherever you are in the product.

The "Custom Notes" field on the Insights and Overview tabs is now a multi-line, rich-text field. You can format your notes the same way you would any other multi-line field in Shred.ai — headers, lists, bold, and more.

This was a direct customer request, and we're happy to have it live.

Formatting and submission requirements are now fully production-ready. Over the past several months, we've steadily improved the accuracy and reliability of these extractions, and they've reached a level of quality we're confident in.

You should notice more accurate, consistent results going forward.

You can now move and resize the AI Chat window to fit the way you work — so it stays out of your way when you need to focus on your content, and front-and-center when you need it.

Move the chat window Drag the chat window header to reposition it anywhere on your screen. Shred remembers where you placed it, so your preferred layout is restored the next time you open chat.

Resize the chat window Drag any corner or edge of the chat window to make it larger or smaller. Whether you want more room for the conversation or more room for your proposal content, the window scales to fit — and your preferred size is saved for future sessions.

This release includes improvements to Response Criteria as well as how dates are structured in your pursuits

Shred is now significantly better at finding all response criteria in an RFP - including ones scattered outside the main "Response Criteria" section. This means a more complete response outline from the start, and less risk of missing a requirement that could affect your bid.

Previously, Shred's AI needed to identify a clear category structure in order to extract response criteria. If requirements appeared outside of a labeled section - spread throughout the document, buried in formatting requirements, or otherwise "scattered about" - they could be missed.

With this update, category identification is no longer required for a criteria item to be captured. Shred will now extract all identifiable response criteria from across the entire RFP, regardless of whether a clear category can be assigned. Uncategorized items will appear in your Response Outline under an "Uncategorized" section, in the order they appear in the document.

RFPs aren't always neatly organized. Critical requirements can appear in cover pages, formatting sections, or standalone paragraphs far from the main response criteria section. Missing even one of these can mean a non-compliant proposal.

This update ensures Shred catches what was previously easy to overlook - giving you a more complete starting point for your response outline.

Shred now captures RFP dates as structured date fields - not just text. The most immediate benefit: you can now sort your Pursuits list by submission deadline date, so the most urgent opportunities are always easy to find.

When Shred processes an RFP, key dates are now captured two ways:

Sort pursuits by submission deadline - right now. You can now sort your Pursuits list by deadline date, so you always know what's coming up. The parsed deadline date is also visible directly on each pursuit card.

No data is lost. The original "date as written in the RFP" is always preserved. If a date couldn't be parsed, the original text is still there - just open the pursuit, click Edit, and you can enter the date manually.

Proposal timeline dates are now structured too. Timeline event dates (pre-bid meetings, Q&A deadlines, etc.) are also now captured as structured fields. This doesn't change what you see today, but it unlocks what's coming: for example, sort-by-date for timeline events.

This update has been back-processed across all of your existing pursuits - no action needed on your end.

When editing a pursuit, you'll see both fields side by side: the parsed date field and the "date as written in the RFP." You can update either at any time. If a parsed date is missing, simply enter it manually in the date field - the original RFP text is always there as your reference.

This release is all about making Proposal Studio easier to collaborate in. You can now assign specific sections to the right teammate with a direct link to the exact content block - so reviews and contributions move faster.

When you hit a section that needs input from someone else, you can now assign that work directly from Proposal Studio.

Impact:

You’ll now have clearer insight into what happens after a proposal is uploaded.

When uploading a proposal, you’ll see a processing indicator that reflects ingestion progress.

This provides better transparency into when a proposal is fully ready for use.

If an ingestion issue occurs, it will now display directly on the proposal.

Customers may see "error" tags on a small amount of previously uploaded proposals.

Most of those errors have already been resolved. In many cases, issues were related to file constraints (for example, file size limits).

If you see a previously uploaded proposal with an error:

We’ve added a simple way to share feedback directly on AI Chat responses.

You can thumbs up or thumbs down any AI-generated response. If you select thumbs down, you’ll also have the option to provide additional context on why the response wasn’t helpful.

This feedback goes straight to our team and helps us continuously improve response quality and relevance in AI Chat.

To help prevent accidental date selection errors, we’ve added a confirmation step when selecting submission dates.

When choosing a “Submitted Date” for a proposal or a “Submission Date” for an RFP, you’ll now see a prompt if the selected date falls on a weekend.

We know proposals are sometimes due or submitted on weekends — this is simply a quick check to help ensure accuracy.

BIG update this week - if you have Projects Sheet or Resume Templates in your OpenAsset DAM system, you can now export them directly from inside Shred.

To access, head over to your "Pursuits" tab, then to the "Curated Assets" tab.

Then, from either the Projects and/or Employees section, you can choose to export individual documents, or "all" on the page.

We’ve made tracking your work more flexible and transparent. You can now manually mark a pursuit as Submitted without needing to connect it to a proposal first, giving you more control over your workflow status.

Additionally, we have improved visibility across your lists:

Organizing your response outline is now a much smoother experience with several quality-of-life updates to the criteria section.

Finding the right content is critical, so we’ve improved how Search reads document formatting. Previously, text arranged in columns could be combined incorrectly; Search now accurately reads and indexes data within columns.

We also made a small UI improvement to ensure the "Upload RFP" button is always easy to find after creating a pursuit, fixing an issue where it could sometimes be hidden.

In the "Pursuits" section of Shred, the "Response" tab organizes response criteria into categories.

You can now reorder criteria within a category, reorder the categories themselves, and move criteria between categories.

For example, when you add new criteria using the button at the bottom of the response tab, you can now place it exactly where it makes sense instead of having it automatically appear at the bottom.

To try this out, follow these steps:

To make managing your Proposal Library faster, you can now select multiple proposals at once to edit their details. From the Proposal Library list, simply check the proposals you want to change, and you can bulk-edit fields like Client Name and Status (Won, Lost, Pending) all at the same time.

Finding the right proposal is now even easier. We've added sorting to the Proposal Library, allowing you to organize your entire archive just like you do with Pursuits.

You can now sort by:

To improve collaboration, you can now see which user started the Go/No-Go analysis for a Pursuit. This information will appear directly below the "Go/No-Go" button, whether the analysis is in-progress or completed.

You no longer need to wait until an RFP is uploaded to start preparing your Pursuit. The "Curated Assets" tab is now available as soon as you create a Pursuit, so you can begin connecting key projects, employee resumes, and other OpenAsset content right away.

We've made some changes to the copy in Shred - no backend, permission, or functional changes.

These changes are designed to provide clearer guidance to Shred users, specifically around our Improved Search (see the update from October 15th below).
