Overview
A Pursuit in Shred.ai is the workspace for managing an opportunity. The first step is creating a pursuit and uploading your RFP as a PDF.
Shred.ai will extract an overview, compliance requirements, and recommendations for what areas to focus on in your proposal to jump-start your proposal plan.
Uploading an RFP
From the homepage, click on the Pursuits tab on the left-hand toolbar (the rocket icon)
Click Create Pursuit.
Enter your Pursuit name.
You can upload an RFP to this pursuit anytime after that.
Shred.ai will process the file and extract compliance requirements and recommendations.
Note: The current size limit for uploading an RFP is 1GB.
Uploading an Addendum
When a client issues an addendum to an RFP you've already shredded, you can upload it directly to the same Pursuit — no need to start over.
Open the relevant Pursuit.
Click Upload Addendum.
Drop in the addendum file.
Shred.ai will compare it against your current Proposal Management Plan (PMP) and generate an Addendum AI Summary within seconds.
The summary includes:
Specific PMP field changes
Other major changes identified in the addendum
A narrative summary of the implications for your response
You can edit the AI summary to add context or corrections, then mark it as Reviewed — recording who reviewed it and when.
Notes:
You can upload up to 10 addenda per Pursuit, one at a time.
When a second (or third) addendum arrives, Shred.ai compares it against both the PMP and the most recent addendum summary — so the latest summary always reflects all cumulative changes.
Both the original addendum file and its AI summary remain accessible at any time.
