Overview
Your Proposal Library is the foundation of Shred.ai. By uploading past proposals, you create a searchable archive that powers Shred.ai.
Steps
Go to the Proposal Library
From your homepage, click Proposal Library in the left-hand sidebar.
Click “Upload Proposals” (blue button at the top-right hand corner of your screen).
This opens the file upload window.
Select Your File
Choose the PDF file from your computer.
Confirm Upload
Click Upload. Files will begin processing immediately.
Note:
The current size limit for proposals is 1 GB.
Tips & Best Practices
Start with 50–200 proposals. This gives the AI enough content to provide strong search and chat results.
Use recent proposals first. Upload those from the past 12–24 months for maximum relevance.
Avoid duplicates. Shred automatically flags duplicates if you try to upload the same proposal twice.
PDF format only. Other file types aren’t supported at this time.
We also recommend NOT uploading competitor proposals to Shred. This can "pollute" the integrity of the system and results you get.
